The Raising the Standards program has been running successfully since May 2009 and has received widespread acclaim since establishment.   The unique, 'family' nature of our program has seen many of Victoria's most celebrated harness trainers choose RTS as the 'go to' place for their retired horses - time and time again.

Our property has become a dedicated Standardbred re-trianing centre, where all types of Standardbred horses can come and feel as though they are valued as an individual.   Horses are fed up to three times daily (depending on their dietary requirements), receive any required medical (be it veterinary, dental, chiropractic, foot care etc) attention and enjoy life roaming in large pastures.   Our waiting list (riders looking for horses) is vast and we have some of the most wonderful people lined up to offer lifelong and very loving homes to our horses.   We provide our horses the opportunity to train in dressage, jumping, pleasure and trail disciplines, additional to extensive groundwork training and any required de-sensitisation work.  Our training system and equine care principals are second to none.

Once horses have been assessed, and invited into the RTS program, they are given a dedicated page on our website - which trainers/owners can use to track their horse's progress.   We are able to update trainers/owners on their horse's progress during the training process and ensure that horses only leave our facility for the very best of homes.   Even horses who are deemed unsuitable for life as riding horses are offered the opportunity to be placed as a companion horse with one of our affiliates.   We do not condemn our horses to the knackery.

Raising the Standards has appeared in the Victorian 'Harness Racer Gazette' several times now, additional to over a dozen other media articles, and we can offer references from over 30 different, satisfied trainers.   We invite trainers, breeders and harness racehorse owners, who are interested in the Raising the Standards, to view our property by appointment.
